NBC Palm Springs First to Report Structure Fire at Motel 6 in Palm Desert

NBC Palm Springs was first on scene as a structure fire broke out at the Motel 6 in Palm Desert tonight. The fire started around 8 o’clock at the corner unit on the ground floor of the motel, located at Washington Street and Varner Road.

Video from the scene captured heavy, dark smoke billowing from the structure as firefighters arrived and worked swiftly to control the flames. Sheriff’s deputies were also present, assisting motel guests who were affected by the incident.

So far, there has been no word on what caused the fire or on the extent of the damages. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
