More Arrests Made in New Orleans Jail Escape Investigation as Manhunt Intensifies
Authorities in New Orleans have arrested additional individuals accused of helping inmates who recently escaped from the Orleans Parish jail, further escalating concerns as the manhunt for the remaining fugitives continues.
Jail records show that 27 year old Tyshanea Randolph and 18-year-old Patricia Vanburen were taken into custody over the weekend. Both face charges of accessory after the fact and are being held on $1 million bond each
In a separate development, Lenika Vanburen, who shares a last name with escapee Lenton Vanburen, was arrested Sunday.
Authorities continue to stress that helping escaped inmates is not only a criminal act but also puts public safety at risk. As the search continues, officials caution that more arrests are likely in the days ahead.
