Newcomers Cast in Lead Roles for Upcoming Harry Potter HBO Series

Exciting news from the wizarding world! HBO has announced the lead cast for its highly anticipated Harry Potter series, based on J.K. Rowling’s beloved books.

Dominic McLaughlin will portray Harry Potter, with Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. These talented young actors are all newcomers to Hollywood, stepping into roles made famous by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint in the original film series. HBO conducted an extensive casting call with over 30,000 kids auditioning for the iconic roles.

Filming for the new series is scheduled to begin this summer, with a streaming release on HBO Max anticipated in 2026.
