Restaurant Week Kicks Off with Taste Testing Event at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage

The Coachella Valley is turning up the flavor with the kickoff of Restaurant Week, featuring over 100 local spots showcasing a wide range of cuisine. The event launched with a taste-testing evening at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, drawing chefs, restaurant owners, and food enthusiasts.

Brett Rosen from NBC Palm Springs was on the scene, speaking with Susan Feniger, owner of Alice B restaurant, about the importance of participating. “We’ve only been here for two seasons, but Palm Springs is such a supportive city. Restaurant Week is fantastic, and we love being part of it,” Feniger said.

Alice B, located next to Living Out in Palm Springs, is offering a sample of its signature dishes. Feniger shared the inspiration behind her menu, including a homemade cheddar biscuit paired with pimento cheese and pepper jelly. "It's the perfect bite," she said.

The event isn’t just about food; it also supports a great cause. For every reservation made during Restaurant Week via DineGPS.com, one dollar is donated to the local Fine Food Bank. “Whenever we can give back to the community, we’re in,” Feniger emphasized.

Rosen noted that the event offers a unique opportunity for visitors to sample new restaurants and meet local chefs. Restaurant Week officially runs from May 30 through June 9, with participating restaurants offering special prix fixe menus.
