Second Suspect Surrenders in Cryptocurrency Kidnapping Case Involving Crypto King of Kentucky

A second suspect connected to the shocking kidnapping and torture of an Italian businessman has surrendered to authorities. William Du Plessis, believed to be a business partner of John Waltz, also known as the “Crypto King of Kentucky,” turned himself in with his lawyers to the NYPD’s Major K-Squad detectives unit.

The victim, an Italian citizen and another business partner of Waltz and Du Plessis, was allegedly kidnapped and held inside a Manhattan townhome for over two weeks. The victim reportedly refused to hand over his Bitcoin password, prompting the brutal ordeal.

John Waltz was arrested last Friday and faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and assault. He was ordered held without bond. While Du Plessis’ alleged involvement in the case remains unclear, authorities are continuing their investigation.

The case has drawn widespread attention as it highlights the potential risks and high stakes involved in the world of cryptocurrency.
