Trump's Policies Creating Uncertainty on Wall Street
A growing divide is emerging between Wall Street and Main Street over the future of U.S. stocks, as President Donald Trump’s second-term policies continue to sow economic uncertainty.
According to a recent Bank of America survey, a record number of global fund managers reported plans to decrease their holdings of U.S. stocks. Concerns about policy shifts, trade tensions, and economic stability have driven institutional investors to adopt a cautious stance, reducing exposure to American assets.
In contrast, retail investors—those investing their own money—are showing increasing confidence in U.S. markets. These individual investors have steadily purchased U.S. stocks throughout the year, including during the steep market downturn in early April, when many saw an opportunity to buy at lower prices.
This divergence highlights the broader uncertainty shaping financial markets. While Wall Street remains wary of shifting policies and potential volatility, Main Street appears to be betting on long-term growth and resilience.
As President Trump’s administration continues to navigate economic challenges, the split between institutional and retail investors underscores a growing gap in confidence and strategy within the U.S. economy.

UPDATE: The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that one person has died and another two were injured after a home explosion on Ocotillo Rd in Twentynine Palms. Security camera video from a nearby neighbor captured the dramatic blast around 8:28 p.m., followed by a fire that brought a massive emergency response from fire and law enforcement agencies across the Morongo Basin. The burning structure has been confirmed as a residence at 6427 Ocotillo Ave. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation and the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Arson/Bomb Detail team is conducting the investigation.
