Pet of the Week: Murphy

It’s kitten season, and this week’s Pet of the Week could not be more adorable! Valerie Kattz from Animal Samaritans joined us to introduce Murphy, a sweet little purr-machine who’s ready to charm his way into your heart—and your home.

Murphy is part of an exceptionally cute batch of kittens currently at the shelter. With his big ears, calm energy, and non-stop purring, he stood out the moment the community room door opened—walking right up as if to say, “I’m ready for my close-up!” He’s playful, affectionate, and clearly very comfortable with other cats, having spent his time in Animal Samaritans’ free-roaming cat room.

If you’re thinking about adding a feline friend to your family, now is the perfect time. The cat community room is a great place to visit—you’ll be able to interact with multiple cats and see who you naturally connect with. And if you already have a cat at home, these community-raised kittens tend to adapt more easily to multi-cat households.
