An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Saturday, May 31, 2025!

As an upper-level low moves across the Southwest this weekend, clouds will thicken into Sunday when we will see a few showers and thunderstorms.

The Coachella Valley will be under mostly cloudy skies today with near-normal high temperatures in the upper-90s/lower-100s.

But as this disturbance makes its move across Southern California to the ENE on Sunday, clouds will thicken which will play a major role in tempering temps. This system will also trigger some SoCal precipitation while a few widely scattered, very light showers are a possibility in the Valley. A couple of mountain t-storms are expected as well.

Skies will quickly clear on Monday when our midday highs move into the middle-90s along with occasionally gusty Westerly winds.
