Omni Rancho Las Palmas Hosts Women’s Golf Day to Grow the Game
The number of women playing golf in the United States has surged in recent years, and a local golf resort is stepping up to keep the momentum going. Omni Rancho Las Palmas Country Club in Rancho Mirage hosted a special Women’s Golf Day event aimed at introducing more women to the sport and fostering inclusivity on the course.
“We’re really excited to be able to get ladies out here and introduce them to the game,” said Ian Kindy, general manager of the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Country Club. “The goal for this event is to see some of the participants come back and enjoy our facility, and just generally help get people into the game.”
Women’s Golf Day is part of a larger movement to increase female participation in golf, which has been the fastest-growing segment of players. “Having more women participate would be great for the game of golf because women have so much to add to everything. So why not get women’s input on golf too?” one participant shared.
The event provided a welcoming atmosphere for women of all skill levels to get involved, try out golf for the first time, and connect with others. “This is a great opportunity to get the ball rolling and start something that I’ve always wanted to do,” one attendee said. “I love that Omni is bringing women together to captivate this experience with us.”
Organizers are hopeful that Women’s Golf Day will become an annual celebration, continuing to grow the game and create lasting community connections.
