Agua Caliente Casinos Unveils Major Casino Floor Expansion in Rancho Mirage

The Agua Caliente Entertainment Report, brought to you by Agua Caliente Casinos, highlights an exciting milestone this week. Agua Caliente Casinos hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their Rancho Mirage location to officially debut a major expansion of their gaming floor.

The new addition brings an extra 12,000 square feet of space to the casino, featuring over 250 new slot machines and expanded table game options. The goal? To enhance the experience for every guest who walks through their doors.

"We're celebrating our brand-new expansion to the game floor," said a casino spokesperson. "We are all about enhancing that guest experience and giving our players even more to enjoy."

NBC Palm Springs' Caitlin Kelly was at the ceremony and spoke with team members who shared their pride in working for a company that continues to grow while giving back to its community.

With 30 years of gaming experience under its belt, Agua Caliente Casinos continues to evolve while honoring its legacy of hospitality and excellence. The ribbon-cutting marks not just a physical expansion, but a reaffirmation of the tribe’s commitment to delivering premier entertainment in the Coachella Valley.

New findings reveal what led to the death of Jackie, the beloved bald eagle from Big Bear Valley.

A necropsy confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza (bird flu) as the primary cause of her decline. The infection caused a severe stomach ulcer, internal bleeding, anemia and a secondary bacterial infection.

Testing also detected rat poison in Jackie’s liver, but officials say it was not identified as the primary cause of her death. Tests were negative for West Nile virus, and lead levels were within acceptable limits.

Jackie’s mate, Shadow, remains in Big Bear Valley. Officials say there is no evidence that Shadow or the eaglets are sick.

Jackie’s story captured hearts across the country and brought attention to bald eagle conservation.
