An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Tuesday, June 3, 2025!

The Coachella Valley will start-out the day with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will begin to move overhead beginning this afternoon as an upper-low slides through the Southwest today.

As far as precipitation is concerned, there will be widely scattered rain over Southern California later today along with a few mountain thunderstorms. If the Coachella Valley sees rain, accumulation totals will only be in the hundredths of an inch... if anything at all.

Although a Wind Advisory has not been posted, on-shore winds will pick-up this afternoon in those wind-prone areas of SoCal. An Air Quality Alert has been posted for the Coachella Valley through early Wednesday morning.

As this low exits to the ENE, Valley skies will clear for your Wednesday afternoon with midday highs once again in the upper-90s.

Next, as an upper-ridge of high pressure builds over the Southwest, Valley afternoon temps move above 100° later this week.
