Talking with Thalia: Tracy Smith on Releasing Stress and Embracing Inner Peace
Wouldn’t it be nice to alleviate pain and stress from your life? According to author and inspirational leader Tracy Smith, not only is it possible, but we all already have the tools within us to do it.
Appearing on Thalia Hayden's, "Talking with Thalia", Smith joined the conversation to explain how anyone can begin releasing the weight of emotional burdens and tap into a deeper sense of peace—starting with one simple step: awareness.
“One of the first things is increasing our awareness of how we’re feeling,” said Smith. “Many of us grew up in high-stress environments, and we got used to thinking that was normal. But when we experience other ways of living, we start to realize it doesn’t have to be that way.”
Smith’s approach goes beyond traditional stress management. It’s about tuning into your own energy—the unseen but powerful force that affects how we feel, how we show up in the world, and how others experience us.
“Your energy is your most important asset,” Smith emphasized. “Whether you walk into a room, a relationship, or a workplace, you bring that energy with you—and it impacts everyone around you.”
We've all felt it: the "Negative Nelly" whose presence drains a room or, conversely, the person who lights up a space with their positivity. Smith says that’s no coincidence. Energy is real—and it’s contagious.
Drawing inspiration from Maya Angelou, Smith reminds us that while people may forget your words, they will never forget how you made them feel. That feeling, she says, begins with your own self-regulation.
Her platform, BlissfulReleaseNow.com, encourages individuals to embrace the idea that we don’t need to analyze, label, or judge our stressors. Instead, we can simply choose to release them.
“We can let go,” Smith says. “We don’t have to hold onto pain or stress. We can take a deep breath, exhale, and say, ‘I release.’ No past, no future—just now. That’s where the power is.”
Smith's message is resonating with more people each day, offering a gentle yet profound invitation to live lighter, live freer, and live now.
