Extreme Weekend Heat Grips the Valley

Get ready for the hottest weekend of the year so far. A strong high-pressure system is heating up the Southwest and making things very dry. Parts of the valley could see temperatures soaring to 110 degrees—or even higher. In fact, Sunday could bring a scorching 116. It's not just the daytime highs that are intense—the overnight lows are sticking in the upper 80s. That means little relief, even after sunset. The heat is building quickly, so it’s important to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity. Looking ahead, we’ll see those temperatures peak around midweek. The seven-day forecast shows a slight cooldown as we approach the end of the work week. But don’t expect a major drop—this heat is here to stay for a while. Comfort Air brings us the forecast, reminding us to keep an eye on indoor temps too. Stay cool, stay safe, and check on your neighbors.
