John Wick Spinoff Trails Lilo and Stitch

This weekend brought some exciting shifts at the box office. The newest “John Wick” universe movie, Ballerina, debuted strong but couldn’t claim the top spot. It opened in second place with an estimated $25 million. Meanwhile, Lilo and Stitch continued to dominate, scoring a third consecutive weekend at number one. The Disney live-action remake pulled in $32.5 million, bringing its domestic total to over $335 million. Worldwide, it’s estimated to have earned $772 million so far. Other films also saw changes in their rankings. Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning dropped to third place with $15 million. Karate Kid: Legends fell to fourth with $8.7 million. And Final Destination: Bloodlines slid to fifth, earning $6.5 million. Despite a strong showing, Ballerina couldn’t topple the reigning champ. Fans of the John Wick universe may still be pleased with the solid performance. The box office battle continues to heat up this summer.
