DHS Releases Names and Mugshots in Immigration Crackdown Across SoCal
The Department of Homeland Security has released new information tonight as part of its ongoing immigration enforcement efforts across Southern California — including right here in the Coachella Valley and in Los Angeles.
In a statement released just hours ago, DHS called these "targeted arrests of illegal alien criminals." And for the first time, the department is also releasing images and criminal histories of some of the individuals detained.
Among them is Anastasio Enrique Solis Salinas, a Nicaraguan national arrested in Los Angeles. DHS says Salinas has prior arrests for willful cruelty to a child, domestic violence, and hit and run.
Also released: a photo and profile of Rafael Gomez Sanchez, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter.
And Zakhar Aslambagov, a Russian national, was detained on charges related to fraud involving government assistance programs, including misuse of EBT cards.
More suspect profiles and photos are now available on DHS’s official X (formerly Twitter) account as this enforcement operation continues to unfold.
This is a rapidly developing story, and NBC Palm Springs is closely monitoring updates in both Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley.
