All Coachella Valley Rite Aid Stores Closing, Prescriptions to move to nearby pharmacies
Big changes are coming to Rite Aid locations across the Coachella Valley. As part of nationwide bankruptcy proceedings, the company is closing more than 600 stores, including those in Palm Springs, Indio, and Palm Desert. If you rely on Rite Aid for your prescriptions, you'll need to prepare for a switch soon. Many prescriptions will automatically transfer to a nearby pharmacy. You can also request your prescriptions be sent to a location of your choice. Cathedral City residents will see their prescriptions moved to CVS on Date Palm Drive starting July 7. In Coachella, prescriptions will transfer to the Ralphs Pharmacy on Jefferson Street in Indio on July 8. Desert Hot Springs residents will have their prescriptions sent to their preferred pharmacy. Indio customers will have prescriptions moved to Ralphs on Jefferson Street starting June 25. Palm Desert prescriptions will transfer to the Ralphs on Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes beginning July 1. For Palm Springs residents, prescriptions will move to the Ralphs on South Sunrise Way on June 24. Patients are encouraged to contact their new pharmacy with any questions or to update their information.
