Indio Gears Up for Independence Day Bash at Empire Polo Grounds

The City of Indio will host its annual Independence Day Bash on Friday, July 4, featuring live entertainment, food vendors, and an expanded patriotic drone show at the Empire Polo Grounds.

The event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., is free to attend and open to the public. The drone show, scheduled for 9:30 p.m., will include twice as many drones as last year’s display, lighting up the night sky in celebration of Independence Day.

Organizers say the event will offer entertainment for all ages, including a kids’ zone and a craft bar for adults. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Parking at the Empire Polo Grounds, located at 81-800 51st Avenue in Indio, opens at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

City officials expect strong attendance and recommend arriving early to secure parking and seating.
