La Quinta Man who allegedly threatened "No Kings" Rally Out on Bail
A La Quinta man is out on bail after being arrested for threatening violence at a Palm Springs rally.
The suspect, Edward Miranda, is accused of posting an online threat to shoot attendees at the “No Kings” event.
Police say Miranda was booked on charges of making criminal threats and violating civil rights.
Working alongside the FBI, Palm Springs police tracked Miranda down quickly after identifying the threat.
Search warrants were served at his homes in La Quinta and San Bernardino County.
During those searches, investigators seized a firearm allegedly connected to the threat.
Authorities have not released details about the specific nature of the online post.
Police Chief Andy Mills says the safety of the community remains the department’s top priority.
He emphasized that all threats—especially those involving public gatherings—are taken extremely seriously.
The case is still under investigation, and more charges could follow.
Miranda has since posted bail but remains under close scrutiny.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Palm Springs Police immediately.
