Minnesota Lawmaker Killer’s Car Found, Manhunt Ongoing
Authorities in Minnesota have located the vehicle linked to the man suspected of assassinating a state lawmaker and shooting another.
The car belonging to suspect Vance Boelter was discovered in Sibley County, prompting an immediate emergency alert to residents' cellphones.
Officials are warning people in the area to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious.
Boelter is accused of dressing as a police officer to carry out the targeted shootings.
Two Democratic Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were attacked in what appears to be a politically motivated act.
One of the lawmakers and her husband were killed in the assault.
The other lawmaker remains hospitalized, with their condition still unknown.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz condemned the violence, calling it politically driven and deeply disturbing.
He urged residents to remain calm but alert as the search for Boelter continues.
President Donald Trump also weighed in, saying, “Such horrific violence will not be tolerated.”
Law enforcement agencies are coordinating across state lines to apprehend the suspect quickly.
The manhunt is ongoing, with communities throughout Minnesota on edge.
