A La Quinta man who allegedly posted online threats targeting the recent No Kings rally in Palm Springs is now out on bail.
Edward Miranda, 28, was arrested over the weekend and booked on charges of making criminal threats and interfering with civil rights. Palm Springs Police say they worked with the FBI to quickly identify Miranda after receiving the tip.
Search warrants were served at two residences—one in La Quinta and another in San Bernardino County. Investigators say they seized a firearm belonging to the suspect as part of the ongoing investigation.
Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills stressed that threats to public safety are taken seriously and credited community members for speaking up.
