Judge Delays Ruling on Trump’s Attempt to Block International Students at Harvard

A federal judge has delayed a decision on President Trump’s attempt to block international students from enrolling at Harvard University. No ruling was issued Monday, meaning a temporary injunction against the policy remains in place.

The case stems from a proclamation by Trump that aimed to suspend international visas for new students, prompting legal action from Harvard. Earlier this month, a U.S. district judge in Boston issued a temporary restraining order, preventing the policy from taking effect.

During Monday’s hearing, Harvard attorneys pushed for a permanent injunction to protect international students’ rights. The judge said she will issue a ruling next week on whether to extend or modify the current order.

Until then, the restraining order stands, allowing international students to continue their studies uninterrupted—for now.
