R. Kelly Hospitalized After Alleged Medication Overdose

R. Kelly’s legal team says the singer was hospitalized last week following a serious medical emergency.
The 58-year-old is currently serving a 30-year sentence in North Carolina for racketeering and sex trafficking.
According to court filings, prison staff allegedly gave him an overdose of anxiety and sleep medications while he was in solitary confinement.
Kelly was rushed to a hospital, where he remained for two days.
His lawyers claim doctors had scheduled him for emergency surgery to treat blood clots in his lungs.
But they say he was pulled from the hospital and returned to prison against medical advice.
The legal team warns that without surgery, Kelly’s life could be at risk.
They’re accusing the prison of medical negligence and endangerment.
This comes amid ongoing legal battles surrounding his incarceration conditions.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment, citing pending litigation.
Kelly’s health has reportedly been declining for some time.
His attorneys say they’ll continue pushing for urgent medical treatment.
