Jason Byors Announces Bid to Flip CA District 41 from Red to Blue

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – Jason Byors has officially launched his campaign to represent California’s 41st Congressional District, aiming to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Ken Calvert in the 2026 elections. Byors’ campaign focuses on flipping the district from Red to Blue, with a strong emphasis on economic reform, healthcare access, and equal rights.

A resident of Southern California since the 1990s, Byors brings a wealth of experience from his work with major companies such as SONY Pictures, Toyota, and 20th Century Fox TV, as well as non-political roles with the City of Santa Monica and the City of Los Angeles.

One of Byors’ central campaign themes is “Making America Affordable Again,” a promise he believes has been broken by current leadership. “Ken Calvert appeared gleeful in his X.com post announcing he voted for the reconciliation bill that rips healthcare from thousands of Riverside County residents who rely on Medicaid and Medicare while providing tax cuts to the ultra wealthy,” Byors stated. “He does not represent the best interests of its residents.”

Byors pledges to fight for Veterans' and women's reproductive rights, restore due process, advocate for those marginalized by current policies, tackle the impacts of digital currency (DOGE), and push for a fairer tax code.

A graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he earned Bachelor Degrees in Finance, Economics, and Investing with Summa Cum Laude honors, Byors started his career in the financial services industry before transitioning to computer engineering. He plans to leverage his background and commitment to public service to represent Riverside County’s diverse communities.

With a vision to engage Democrats and Independents alike, Byors aims to win the Democratic Primary in June 2026 and flip CA-41 in November.
