Relentless Heat Continues in Coachella Valley Before Weekend Cool Down
Hey Coachella Valley, happy Wednesday! It's another scorcher across the desert today, with conditions mirroring what we've seen throughout the week. Temperatures are expected to reach a sizzling 113°F this afternoon — well above the seasonal average of 103–104°F for mid-June.
This persistent heat pattern is set to hold through the end of the workweek, with no significant relief expected before Friday. It's a reminder of just how brutal a Coachella Valley June can be. For context, the region hit a record high of 119°F back in 2021 — a year many residents still recall as one of the hottest on record.
Looking ahead to Thursday, an approaching system will bring some gusty onshore winds, but not much in the way of cooling. The real break from the heat arrives over the weekend, when temperatures will finally begin to dip closer to average — and possibly even slightly below.
Saturday is shaping up to be the most comfortable day in the forecast, with highs in the low 100s and continued breezy conditions helping ease the heat. Winds are expected to remain gusty, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
Here’s a glance at your Comfort Air 7-Day Forecast:
Wednesday–Friday: Highs above 110°F, minimal overnight cooling
Thursday: Gusty winds begin, minor changes in temperature
Saturday–Sunday: Highs near seasonal averages (103–104°F), breezy with improving comfort levels
So hang in there a little longer, Coachella Valley — relief is just a few days away.
