Sushi, Sandwiches, and Panic! June 18 Brings Fun with Food and Film Trivia

It's Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and we're celebrating a feast of festivities in today’s Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by Inland Empire Health Plan.

First up, it's International Picnic Day—a perfect excuse to dine outdoors with your favorite people, even if it’s a bit warm in the desert. Sandwiches made the top of our picnic basket list, but we raised a few eyebrows when someone suggested sushi.

Why sushi? Because it's also International Sushi Day! A day to celebrate rice, seafood, veggies, and a whole lot of wasabi. Some of us love it hot—mixing that green paste into a spicy soy sauce concoction that clears the sinuses in seconds.

Keeping the food theme rolling, it’s National Cherry Tart Day, so don’t forget dessert. But be careful—take the first “C” out of picnic and what do you get? Panic! That’s right, it’s International Panic Day, and the inspiration for today’s trivia.
