Parrot with foul mouth goes viral online
A parrot in Massachusetts is getting lots of attention for his colorful language.
The blue and gold macaw named Hendrix is up for adoption at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
Staff say the 30-year-old bird was surrendered two months ago.
His previous owner kept him for about 20 years.
Sadly, Hendrix came in malnourished and missing feathers after being fed human cereal and white bread.
While he’s recovering physically, his vocabulary has raised some eyebrows.
Hendrix is known for using cuss words and slurs, surprising shelter staff.
They try not to react to his foul language so they don’t encourage it.
When he’s in a good mood, he’ll say things like “thank you” or “good morning baby.”
His personality—and his rated R language—have made him a viral sensation online.
More than 50 people have applied to adopt him, from as far as Canada and Kansas.
Staff hope his forever family can handle both his big heart and his salty vocabulary.
