Coachella Residents Invited to Weigh In on New Rail Station Plans
Coachella city officials are calling on residents to help shape the future of a new passenger rail station—and offering an incentive to get involved. The city will host a public workshop on Wednesday, July 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Coachella Library.
The workshop is designed to gather community feedback on key elements of the proposed station, including its location, design, and amenities. Leaders hope the station will become more than just a transit point, aiming to create a space that serves as a true community hub.
To encourage participation, the city is offering a sweet deal: the first 50 attendees will be entered to win a $100 grocery gift card.
“This is a chance for the community to help guide an exciting transportation project that will impact generations to come,” officials said in a statement.
Residents are encouraged to bring their ideas and questions to ensure the station reflects the needs and identity of Coachella.
