Lane Closure On Highway 111 In Cathedral City

We have a construction alert if you take Highway 111 through Cathedral City...

We want you to know before you go...the right lane of Eastbound Highway 111 through downtown is closed.

And this creates a bottleneck...Especially during peak traffic times.

This is part of the completion of the new shopping center at Date Palm and ne 111.

When it's finished there will be a Chipotle, and Starbucks...both with drive-throughs...as well as a gas station, bank and pizza restaurant.

This phase of the project appears to be building the roadway connectors to the street from the parking lots.

The developer told us last month he was aiming for a late June completion...we'll check with him again to see if that's still on track.

You might consider alternate routes if you can...like Dinah Shore to the North.
