Cool Start to the Week, but Coachella Valley Heat Returns Soon
Happy Monday, Coachella Valley!
Mondays can be rough—especially after a sunny, social weekend—but here's some good news to kick off your week: today’s high will only reach 96°F. That’s below average for this time of year in the desert, and a welcome change that doesn’t come around often. So, if you’re tired of sweating through every afternoon, today is your day to soak up some rare summer relief.
We're less than two weeks away from the Fourth of July, so it might be time to start pulling out those red, white, and blue outfits. And for those already daydreaming of pumpkin patches and cooler weather? Autumn is just 91 days away. Halloween? Still 130 days out—but hey, it's never too early to start planning costumes (or budgeting for candy).
Back to the present: enjoy this mild spell while it lasts. Temperatures will hover in the 90s through Wednesday. But starting Thursday, a ridge of high pressure will begin building over Southern California, bringing back those hot and dry conditions typical of the season.
By this time next week, we're looking at highs hitting 112°F. That means triple-digit days—above 110°F—are making a comeback.
7-Day Snapshot:
Monday-Wednesday: Seasonal highs in the 90s
Thursday-Sunday: Climbing into the 100s
Next Monday: Potential high of 112°F
Stay hydrated, stay cool, and keep an eye on those rising temps. Summer’s just getting started, Coachella Valley.
