Ceasefire in Jeopardy: Trump Blasts Israel After Strike on Iran Radar Site

A tense ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran may already be falling apart after fresh airstrikes lit up the skies above Tehran. The strike, which targeted an Iranian radar site, came just hours after President Donald Trump announced a truce between the two nations.

President Trump, who brokered the ceasefire, did not hold back his frustration.

"We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f*** they're doing," he said.

The ceasefire appeared shaky from the start. Moments before it was scheduled to take effect, Iran launched a missile at a residential building in Beersheba, Israel, killing at least four people. Dr. Shafir Botner, director of the MDA Paramedic School, described the scene as “a complete mess,” noting the missile directly hit the top of a building.

Despite that attack, Iran’s leadership said Tuesday that it remains committed to the ceasefire—so long as Israel does not initiate further strikes. Iranian state media quoted officials saying, “Tehran is ready for talks and to defend the rights of the Iranian people at the negotiation table.”

The broader conflict erupted on June 13, when Israel launched an offensive aimed at dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Days later, the U.S. followed with “Operation Midnight Hammer,” striking three Iranian nuclear sites. The Pentagon confirmed the operation was coordinated with Israeli officials to curb the nuclear threat.

But the recent Israeli strike near Tehran has led Trump to openly criticize America’s closest ally in the region.

"I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal. They didn’t have to unload," he said.

Meanwhile, President Trump is attending the NATO Summit in the Netherlands, where global leaders are now watching the deteriorating situation with growing concern.

Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. James “Spider” Marks warned, “The world should be worried about this.”
