Indio's Independence Day Bash Returns to Empire Polo Club with Drone Show, Music, and Family Fun
The City of Indio is bringing back its Independence Day Bash at the iconic Empire Polo Club—and this year, it’s bigger and better.
Presented by Chavez Jessup GMC, the free community celebration on July 4th will feature more than 500 drones lighting up the night sky in place of traditional fireworks. The drone show begins at 9:30 p.m.
City of Indio Economic Development Director Miguel Ramirez Cornejo says the choice to use drones instead of fireworks offers a more inclusive experience for attendees who may be sensitive to loud noises, including pets and veterans.
“There’s no smoke, no loud bangs—just a beautiful, choreographed show in the sky,” Cornejo said.
The event will also include live performances by the high-energy band Radio Ready and crowd-favorite DJ Tina Turntables. Guests can enjoy food vendors, giveaways, a KidZone, and fun games like “Lucky Ducky,” where prizes include tickets to upcoming Fantasy Springs Resort Casino events.
Miniature golf and interactive activities for children will be set up throughout the Polo Grounds.
The celebration runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with entertainment, games, and community fun leading up to the 9:30 drone show.
