Scotus Backs Religious Parents In Lgbtq+ Book Case
The Supreme Court backed a group of religious parents who want to opt their elementary school kids out of engaging with LGBTQ books in the classroom.
It's another major legal win for religious interests at the conservative high court.
And it's the latest decision blurring the line that once clearly separated secular education from religion.
The court ruled a suburban school district in Washington, DC, burdened the first amendment rights of parents by refusing to allow them to pull their kids from the classroom when the books are used.
