Wolf Fire Burns Over 2,400 Acres Near Banning, Evacuation Orders in Effect

Multiple fires are burning across Riverside County tonight, with the most dangerous burning south of Banning. The largest of these is the Wolf Fire, which erupted around 3 p.m. Sunday and has now consumed more than 2,400 acres.

CAL FIRE reports that containment remains at just 40%, despite intense firefighting efforts both on the ground and in the air. Crews worked through the night to slow the fire's spread, which has continued pushing south into the mountains and east toward Cabazon.

Evacuation orders are in effect for areas south of Banning. CAL FIRE released a detailed map showing impacted zones: areas in red are under mandatory evacuation, while those in yellow are on evacuation warning and should be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.

Authorities are urging residents to monitor official alerts closely, keep evacuation supplies ready, and stay out of impacted areas for their safety and the safety of firefighters.
