The Grand Jury Investigation Found That Palm Springs Lacked Proper Auditing Procedures And Failed To Request Montly Reports And Invoices.

Palm Springs City Officials Say They’ve Already Identified Those Issues Last Year And Have Since Made Sweeping Changes.

That Includes New Rules For How Grants Over $75,000 Are Paid Out And Requiring More Frequent Reporting And Independent Audits.

City Staff Is Also Receiving Extra Training To Improve Oversight And Fraud Prevention.

A Formal Response To The Report Will Be Filed Within 90 Days.
