Jurassic World, Superman, Smurfs, and Fantastic Four Lead Summer Movie Lineup

Dinosaurs stomp back into theaters just in time for the 4th of July weekend with the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth. The seventh film in the long-running franchise stars Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali as researchers on a new secret island teeming with more dangerous prehistoric threats than ever before.

Looking ahead to July 11, director James Gunn unveils the highly anticipated Superman, the first film in the rebooted DC Universe. David Corenswet dons the cape as the Man of Steel, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the iconic villain Lex Luthor.

Also entering theaters this summer — those beloved little blue characters return in Smurfs on July 18. This live-action/CGI hybrid features Rihanna lending her voice to Smurfette, alongside a celebrity-packed voice cast.

And to cap off the month, Fantastic Four: First Steps soars into theaters on July 25. Marvel’s “first family” faces off against Galactus the Planet Eater in their newest cinematic adventure. The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Eben Moss-Bachrach.

From prehistoric thrills to superhero showdowns, July is packed with blockbuster excitement.
