It’s Friday, July 4th, and we’re celebrating the day with a fun mix of quirky holidays and patriotic trivia.
Hashtag Holiday Calendar – July 4, 2025
National Comic Sans Day: Love it or hate it, this iconic font is celebrated (or mocked) every first Friday in July. Designed by Microsoft in 1994, Comic Sans was intended to mimic comic book lettering—and yes, our hosts had a little fun using it on today’s calendar graphics.
National Barbecued Spare Ribs Day: What better way to mark the 4th than with ribs on the grill? Just don’t forget the sausage, apparently.
National Sidewalk Egg Frying Day: Believe it or not, this is a real thing. One of our hosts recalled a hot day in Death Valley (129°F!) when he successfully cooked an egg on the pavement—with help from a frying pan and a lid.
