An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Tuesday, July 8, 2025!

Today the Coachella Valley will be under mostly sunny skies with dry air and above-normal high temperatures in the lower one-teens. That'll be followed by some of the hottest temperatures so-far this year.

A large area of Southern California will be under an Extreme Heat Warning on Wednesday and Thursday at a time when the Coachella Valley will experience high temperatures just under 120° both afternoons.

And, a Heat Advisory has been posted from the Inland Empire to much of San Diego County for those same two-days.

Also -- because of elevated levels of ozone pollution in the air -- an Air Quality Alert has been posted from the Valley to the Coast through Thursday

Next, those high temperatures will back-off, but only slightly. Valley temps will still peak in the lower one-teens Friday into the weekend.
