Crypto Fitz Warns of Rising Cryptocurrency Scams
While cryptocurrency scams are on the rise, Crypto Fitz is offering some important advice.
"As I always say," Fitz begins, "you need to do your own research and be comfortable about what you're doing and know what you're investing in before you take the plunge."
He shared a recent experience involving a friend who reached out with an alarming situation. The friend claimed he had $65,000 in a crypto account after depositing just $10,000. The supposed investment was generating impressive monthly statements, but there was a catch.
"When he tried to withdraw his money," Fitz explained, "they asked him to pay 25% in advance fees—around $12,000 to $15,000—before releasing his funds."
Fitz warned that this is a classic scam tactic. “I told him, ‘Think about what you're saying. You're way too smart to fall for this. Please, don’t do that.’”
Crypto Fitz says this is just one of many scams targeting hopeful investors in the digital asset space. He urges everyone to be cautious: “Do your own research, understand the space, and be comfortable with what you’re getting involved in.”
