Mexican First Responders Join Texas Flood Rescue Efforts

A first responder team from Mexico has joined efforts to assist in the deadly flooding crisis unfolding in Texas. The team, made up of 13 members, includes firefighters and emergency personnel from the Mexican state of Coahuila, which borders Del Rio, Texas.

Also part of the team are members of Fundacion 911, an organization known for providing critical aid in emergency situations throughout Latin America and the U.S.-Mexico border region.

The group is helping with ongoing search and rescue operations in some of the hardest-hit areas, where floodwaters have trapped residents and made conditions extremely dangerous for emergency crews.

The U.S. ambassador to Mexico acknowledged the support in a social media post, thanking the team for stepping up and assisting during this critical time.

The binational response reflects growing cooperation between U.S. and Mexican emergency agencies when responding to border-area disasters.

As recovery continues, officials emphasize the need for continued vigilance and support in flood-prone communities across central Texas.
