Power Outage Continues to Impact Sunrise Park Facilities in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS - Multiple facilities at Sunrise Park remain affected by a power outage that began Saturday following an equipment failure.

The outage initially forced the cancellation of Saturday's drive-in movie screening of "Captain America: The First Avenger," which was part of the city's Fourth of July weekend celebrations.

City staff continue working to identify the cause and restore power to the park. Backup generators are providing power to key facilities, including the Palm Springs Public Library and Leisure Center.

However, the Swim Center, Pavilion, and Power Baseball Stadium remain impacted by the outage and are temporarily closed.

It remains unclear whether tonight's Palm Springs Power baseball game will be affected by the ongoing outage.
