Karla from Piero’s PizzaVino Named NBC Palm Springs Server of the Week, Surprised with $1,000 Tip

It was a surprise moment on El Paseo as Karla from Piero’s PizzaVino was named NBC Palm Springs’ latest Server of the Week.

Karla was recognized with a $1,000 tip as a thank-you for her outstanding service and commitment to guests. The surprise was delivered in person by Anthony Caridi of Honda and Toyota of the Desert, in partnership with NBC Palm Springs.

Karla’s reaction was filled with gratitude and surprise. “Thank you so much. I’m very surprised!” she said.

Karla was nominated by local patrons who praised her friendly attitude, efficiency, and the welcoming experience she provides at Piero’s PizzaVino on El Paseo.

“Just an outstanding job,” Caridi told her. “You have a lot of fans out there because you were nominated to NBC.”

When asked what she might do with the money, Karla admitted she wasn’t sure yet, still processing the moment.
