Desert Hot Springs’ Estefanía Rodríguez Represents California in Miss US Latina Pageant
A journey that started in Desert Hot Springs has now taken national spotlight. Estefanía Rodríguez, 23, is representing California in the Miss US Latina pageant — a prestigious national competition that celebrates culture, beauty, and community values. Rodríguez, who currently holds the title of Miss California Latina, began her pageant journey at just 16 years old when she was crowned queen of Desert Hot Springs. That early experience sparked her passion for pageantry, leading her to compete in Miss Mexico USA, where she earned third place.
Her path hasn’t always been easy. Rodriguez shared that perseverance was key: “I learned after losing my first one, losing the second competition, I kept coming back. It wasn’t just about winning, it was about the opportunities that came with competing.”
Beyond the crowns and sashes, Rodriguez values the relationships she’s built through pageantry. “I love meeting people with the same values as myself. I love talking to new people,” she said.
Now, Rodríguez is competing on one of the biggest stages yet: the Miss US Latina pageant, held in Miami, Florida, at the end of the month. With each step she takes on that national runway, she carries the spirit of Desert Hot Springs and her Latino heritage with her.
