Palm Springs Power Defeat Inland Valley Legends on NBC Palm Springs Night
Palm Springs Power secured an important 7–1 victory over the Inland Valley Legends Friday night in front of a hometown crowd at Palm Springs Stadium. It wasn’t just any game — it was NBC Palm Springs Night, bringing viewers and station team members together for a night of baseball and community fun.
The evening kicked off with NBC Palm Springs anchors Olivia Sandusky and Tim O’Brien taking the mound for the ceremonial first pitch. While Sandusky admitted to feeling a little nervous, both she and O’Brien delivered solid throws, with O’Brien landing a strike.
Throughout the night, NBC Palm Springs reporters and anchors met with fans, signing autographs, posing for photos, and sharing in the excitement. Viewers like Patsy stopped by, saying, “If you don’t support your hometown, who’s gonna?” Fans enjoyed refreshments, hot dogs, and a strong showing by the Power on the field.
“This is our home team,” one fan said. “We love the opportunity they provide for these young ballplayers. It’s encouraging for them to have us out here.”
With both teams fighting for playoff position, the win keeps Palm Springs Power in the hunt for a postseason berth.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Saturday is Kids Night at Palm Springs Stadium, offering free admission for kids to catch all the action and support the Power as their playoff push continues.
“For now,” said NBC Palm Springs’ Caitlyn Kelley, “we’re grateful to everyone who came out tonight and can’t wait to see you at the next game.”
