Weekend Fun: Night Hikes, Pool Parties, and Networking Events Across the Coachella Valley
If you’re searching for new ways to enjoy the desert this week, several community events offer adventure, relaxation, and networking opportunities across the Coachella Valley.
For those craving a bit of outdoor excitement, Friends of the Desert Mountains is hosting a guided night hike this Saturday night at 8:45 p.m. The hike begins at the Art Smith Trailhead just off Highway 74 in Palm Desert. Led by a knowledgeable volunteer docent, this family-friendly walk through the desert basin explores nocturnal wildlife, including scorpions and other creatures that only come out after dark.
Prefer a splash over a stroll? Adult Swim Saturdays are back at the Palm Springs Surf Club. Now through August 30th, every Saturday night from 6 to 10 p.m., the pool club hosts after-hours parties complete with a lazy river, island pool lounging, live DJ sets, food, and drinks under the desert sky.
And if you’re looking to make professional connections or simply mix and mingle, the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting its weekly Social Hour on Wednesday, July 16th, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This week’s gathering takes place at Runway Bar and Restaurant in Cathedral City. The event is free and open to everyone, whether you’re already a Chamber member or just curious about what they offer.
Whatever you choose, the Coachella Valley offers plenty of options to explore and enjoy.
