Palm Springs Power Make History

The Palm Springs Power kept their playoff hopes alive in dominant fashion Saturday night, defeating the Inland Valley Legends 11–2 at Palm Springs Stadium. With every game now carrying postseason implications, the Power played with urgency and delivered a statement win — their 700th franchise victory.

From the first pitch, Palm Springs came out swinging. Hot bats and consistent offense powered the team through all nine innings, as the Legends struggled to keep pace. The win bolsters the Power’s playoff ambitions as they continue to treat every game like a do-or-die scenario.

"It was a big win today," said center fielder Myles Walton after the game. Walton played a key role at the plate, delivering multiple hits in a standout performance. Still, he was quick to credit the collective effort.

“Our pitchers have definitely come through throughout the summer,” Walton said. “Playing behind them — it makes it easier for us outfielders and infielders.”

But the lopsided victory wasn’t the only cause for celebration. The win marked a major milestone in team history — the Power's 700th win as a franchise. Players commemorated the achievement by dousing longtime team owner Andrew Starke with a celebratory bucket of Gatorade on the field.

With momentum building and the playoffs approaching, the Power are surging at just the right time. Their next matchups will be crucial as they continue their push toward the postseason — and potentially add to their growing legacy.
