Family of Desert Hot Springs Crash Victim Seeks Support After Deadly I-10 Collision

We have an update on the deadly crash that occurred Thursday on Interstate 10 near Cathedral City. Authorities have now identified the two people who lost their lives in the collision.

One of the victims was Francisco León of Desert Hot Springs. Over the weekend, his family shared their GoFundMe page with NBC Palm Springs to help raise support during this difficult time.

According to the fundraising page, León is survived by his wife and three daughters. He was the family’s sole provider, working at a local nursery to support his household.

The family is asking for help from the community as they navigate the unexpected loss. As of this broadcast, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $5,000.
