Yucca Valley Mom Welcomes Rare Set of Triplets at Desert Regional Medical Center
It’s triple the joy for a Yucca Valley family following the rare and joyful birth of triplets at Desert Regional Medical Center this past weekend. On July 12, Desiree Barrett and her husband welcomed two boys and a girl — making this the hospital’s first set of triplets born in over five years.
The proud parents allowed cameras a glimpse of their growing family, with the three newborns resting safely under watchful care. “My mom was born here, I was born here, and now Graceson and the triplets were born here too,” Barrett shared. “It’s been great. We’re just waiting for them to get big enough to come home.”
Triplets are a medical rarity, occurring in roughly one out of every 10,000 pregnancies. Their arrival not only marks a significant moment for Desert Regional Medical Center, but also highlights the strength and joy of a family expanding in a big way.
While the newborns are expected to head home gradually — potentially one at a time — the excitement in the Barrett household is already building. “Once they’re home,” Desiree said, “that’s when the real fun begins.”
Staff at the hospital and well-wishers across the community have poured in their congratulations, praising the couple’s grace and the health of the newborns. It’s clear this family is not only growing — it’s growing with style.
Congratulations to the Barrett family — and welcome to the world, little ones!
