Coachella Festival Brings Major Sales Boost to Indio and Local Valley Businesses
As the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicks off, it's not just music fans celebrating—local business owners across the valley are welcoming a surge in customers and sales.
NBC Palm Springs' Brett Rosen was live at Rancho 51, speaking to businesses in the city of Indio and beyond about what Coachella season means to them. The answer? A huge economic boost.
One business reaping the rewards is Everbloom Coffee in Indio, where owners say foot traffic and sales have consistently doubled—or even tripled—during the festival weekends. "It's so beneficial," one manager shared. “We have to prepare crowd control, restock constantly, and even double our staffing.”
Across the city, the excitement is building not only for festival goers but also for the economic ripple effects. According to city officials, Coachella and Stagecoach together bring in more than $700 million in economic impact to the Coachella Valley each year, with over $100 million flowing directly into Indio.
Well-known eateries like TKB Bakery & Deli and others say they staff up and stock up for the massive demand. One manager mentioned, “Everyone gets extra hours, morale goes up, and our team of 50 employees is excited for the rush.”
Even better, the exposure isn't limited to the streets of Indio. Everbloom Coffee is among the local businesses invited to run pop-up shops directly on the Coachella festival grounds, giving them access to new audiences. “People who discover us at the festival end up becoming year-round customers,” one owner explained.
And it's not just main streets seeing action. Right at Rancho 51, dozens of small local vendors are capturing foot traffic from campers and festival goers passing through.
With thousands flocking to the Coachella Valley, this season is more than a music celebration—it's a business lifeline.

A high-speed police chase in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, came to a dramatic end when the vehicle plunged into Lake Como. Dashcam video released by police shows the pursuit before the car crashes into the water. Four people inside the vehicle were pulled from the lake with no serious injuries reported.
