Aguanga Fire Update and Community Assistance Information

Fire crews continue to battle the Dale Fire, which has burned close to 1,100 acres near Anza and is now 28% contained, officials said Thursday. The fire broke out around noon Wednesday near Highway 371, destroying several structures. Evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect for parts of the area. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Dale Fire is one of several blazes impacting the region just outside the Coachella Valley. In response, the state is offering food assistance to residents affected by recent wildfires. CalFresh recipients who lost food purchased with their benefits due to the Mindy, Wolf, or Juniper fires may be eligible for replacement assistance. Impacted customers must report their losses by July 28 to receive support from the county. For details on how to report and request replacement benefits, visit NBCPalmSprings.com.
