Server Of The Week
Palm Desert Server Surprised with $1,000 Tip at Outback Steakhouse
One lucky server in Palm Desert just received a big surprise for her hard work and dedication.
Claire, a server at Outback Steakhouse on Highway 111, was named NBC Palm Springs’ Server of the Week and surprised with a $1,000 tip. The recognition was made possible through a partnership with Honda and Toyota of the Desert.
Anthony Caridi from Honda and Toyota of the Desert presented Claire with the surprise tip during her lunch shift. Caught completely off guard, Claire said she was in shock and deeply grateful. “I appreciate it. I try,” she said, holding back emotion.
When asked what she might do with the money, Claire smiled and said she’s planning a vacation. “You don’t hear that very often—vacation’s where it’s at,” Caridi added.
Claire was also sporting her signature shark hat during the surprise, adding to her fun and friendly personality that earned her votes for Server of the Week. “Super amazing service. I can see why you were chosen,” Caridi said.
For those visiting Outback, Claire recommends trying the Bloomin’ Burger and, of course, the restaurant’s signature Bloomin’ Onion.
This weekly segment highlights local servers across the Coachella Valley who go above and beyond for their customers.
